Tonight I reunited with three of my best friends in the Chapman PR/A department, otherwise known as my BATEMAN teammates :)
Us four, in addition to Maria, who couldn’t make it tonight, spent countless days, nights, weeks and months together in the spring of 2010. When we finished our campaign for the US Census, we knew our friendship was something special—a bond that can’t be replicated anywhere else.
These kids just get it. We can talk about PR, social media, Chapman, local/national issues with no reserves. Our dinner lasted almost two and a half hours, and that’s just because we all had so much to talk about and so much to catch up on!
I really hope I can see them all again really soon. Our time together may be limited as of late, but when we get together…it’s like nothing ever changed. Hell, I wouldn’t mind doing an entirely new campaign with them again; our team dynamic was incredible!
[I stole the picture from Travis/Philia—sorry guys, hope you don’t mind! :) ]
YEESH! Really?! This is my fall semester GPA? I usually hate when people toot their own horn in regards to their grades, but seriously, this is the best GPA I’ve had since I can’t even remember when. Wahoo! What an awesome way to end 2010 and start 2011.
Festivities commence in 3, 2, 1…

Only in SoCal can you study outside in 70-degree, sunny blue sky weather in the middle of December for finals.
Well…that statement is a lie, but you sure as hell can’t do this in Seattle!
Group projects are never fun.
It’s always so hard figuring out when to meet, 99.9999999% of the time I’m always the person picking up EVERYONE’s slack (and therefore doing nearly all of the work), and, while this may contradict my natural talent in customer service and interpersonal communication, I generally dislike people.
Oh, yikes. Where did this come from? It must be the busiest week of the semester thus far…
Maybe a picture of a puppy mirroring my exact facial expression and inner thoughts will make me feel better.

Yep. That helped.
Oy. Looking at other #ChapmanPRA students’ websites/blogs/resumes make me feel insufficient.
Not in a bad way though! In a “dammit, I need to work my ass off to match up to them!” way. I swear, some of you kids are just so good at what you do!!! Chapman has taught you all well :)
…Not trying to creep—actually, yes, I am trying to creep, but with good intentions, I assure you :)
Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda
I had a throwdown with the guy at the Chapman registrar office this morning. Okay, not a “throw down” but I did share some harsh words with him. But it is not my fault, it was early, I had 5 hours of working waiting ahead of me and I hadn’t had my coffee yet.
Anyway, I want to graduate early. Just a semster early! Its very do-able considering I have just 2 ge and 2 major classes left to complete my degree. HOWEVER, I am still lacking in credits. 12 credits to be exact. Chapman requires you to have 124 credits to graduation. I will be short by 12 by my desired graduation date.
This would NOT be an issue if my AP scores transferred over. I know I definitely studied hard in high school but apparently, not hard enough. I passed the test with 3s! And got at least an A or B in the class but that isn’t good enough for Chapman! I took 6 AP classes in highschool for NO REASON, basically. Or, the harsher reality, I SHOULDA STUDIED HARDER!
The guy in the registrar’s office didn’t really make it better when he said, “Yep sorry you’re grades are inadequate.”
Now I’m in a bad mood and have to wake up early tomorrow to go to my 8:30am interterm class till noon. UGH.
Meh, I’ll be over this by my morning bagel tomorrow…
Ugh you’re literally living my life, just one year ahead of me! I’m trying to graduate a semester early too, but only ONE of my AP scores were accepted, and I’m currently short 6 GE credits and a few more for my major. I think I actually can graduate a little early, but I’m going to be taking 18 credits a semester for the rest of my college career :/
