This guy rules. This might almost be better than his “Twitter for Math Nerds” video…almost.

Wow. I wasn’t expecting to like Glee’s rendition of “Thriller” all too much, mainly because I don’t like any cover of that song—nothing will EVER match the original! But I was pleasantly surprised by this version. Mashing it up with Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Heads Will Roll” added a nice flair to the song. Props to Glee for this one!
Also: Kevin McHale (Artie) gets most of the solos in this song. FINALLY he gets some credit for that awesome voice of his.

Golden Globes: Chris Colfer won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a TV series, and the night for his inspiring anti-bully remark.

Wow, seriously, congratulations to Chris Colfer on his Golden Globe win! Every time his name appears anywhere, I find myself in disbelief that he was ever in my apartment a year ago and actually hanging out with me and some other friends! This kid is quite inspiring and so genuinely nice, charming and witty, it’s pretty hard not to like him. I really do hope that once Glee is over, he continues to amaze us in a multitude of roles. Congrats, dude!

Tonight’s episode of Glee was more than just awesome. It put me in full-throttle Christmas mode. Brittany’s naivety was just endearing and every purposefully humorous line was done just right. I almost started crying…but what else is new?

Hmm.
That’s kind of all I can really say about tonight’s episode. No likes, no dislikes, just…hmm.

What I Liked About This Week’s Episode of Glee:
1. Babies!!! Too precious.
2. When Chris says “Ohhhh my god” when the tots outburst starts in the cafeteria. Literally the exact same reaction I would have had.
3. Blaine. Enough said.
4. Ghetto Artie. He was seriously so gangster in this entire episode it blew my mind.
5. The “Singing in the Rain/Umbrella” performance. Not necessarily the song, but the dancing/set. Awesome.
What I Didn’t Like About This Week’s Episode of Glee:
1. Gwyneth Paltrow was so-so. She impressed me with her dancing, but her singing was average (compared to the regular Glee cast). Her character really bugged me, too.
2. I think Becky was cuter when she wasn’t Sue’s pet.
3. That “Singing in the Rain/Umbrella” mashup is damn catchy; it’s currently running through my head as I type. But, compared to all of Glee’s previous mashups, I think this one falls a little short. It wasn’t as cohesive as previous ones. But still, not bad at all.
Goodnight.

What I Liked About This Week’s Episode of Glee:
1. Blaine (Darren Criss) is a great, great addition to the show. I hope he sticks around for more episodes; he’s a phenomenal role model, regardless if you’re straight or gay.
2. Puck+Artie=amazing duet. Those two boys have the best voices (in my opinion) and it was so nice having them sing a song together! Plus: cute community service.
3. Loved the song choices.
4. Sue’s evil laughter.
What I Didn’t Like About This Week’s Episode of Glee:
1. Blaine and Kurt running in slow motion? Really?
And that’s about it.
I had the (mis)fortune of seeing spoiler screencaps prior to watching the episode/reading spoilers in general, so the kisses, while still surprising, weren’t necessarily shocking. I already knew they were coming, but it was interesting seeing them in context.
I loved this episode mainly for its overarching theme of inner beauty and acceptance. You create your own happiness; don’t let other people affect you too much. Also: I realized that nearly every person on this show is extremely good looking.
